MRS. CARMEN E. LEONARD WILLIAMS

First Lady and Episcopal Liaison

 

Carmen E. Leonard Williams was born in Mobile, AL.  She is the older of two daughters born to John W. and Ellen Leonard of Daphne, AL.  After graduating from Fairhope High School, she matriculated at The University of Alabama where she received a B.S. in elementary education.  Subsequently, she obtained a Master’s Degree in elementary education from the University of Alabama Birmingham. Mrs. Williams has educated students with love in the states of Alabama, Florida and Illinois for over 25 years.

 

Mrs. Williams is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and is married to Bishop Sylvester Williams, Sr., the 58th Bishop of the C. M. E. Church and the Presiding Prelate of the Third Episcopal District.  Bishop and Mrs. Williams have three adult children and two grandchildren.
