Welcome to the website of the Third Episcopal District of the Christian Methodist Episcopal (CME) Church. Please bear with us while our website is being refreshed and updated to reflect recent leadership changes. We'll be done soon!
The Third District (3D) crosses ten states from Michigan on the east to Colorado on the west. The three regions of the Third are: Michigan-Indiana, Southeast Missouri-Illinois-Wisconsin, and Kansas-Missouri.
The Episcopal leader of the Third Episcopal District is Bishop Da'Henri R. Thurmond, Sr. Bishop Thurmond was elected as the 69th Bishop of the CME Church and assigned to the Third District in June, 2026 at the 41st General Conference of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.

We are excited to announce the official Call for T-Shirt Designs for Annual Conference!
We invite creative members and supporters of all ages across our episcopal district to submit their original artwork. One design will be selected and featured on our official Third Episcopal District (3D) t-shirt.
This year’s design should draw inspiration from the annual conference theme: "Thriving 3D: Trusting God, Transforming lives, Transcending expectations." We encourage submitters to visually capture the spirit of faith, growth, and excellence represented in this theme.
All entries must meet the requirements and specifications outlined on the flyer. The submission deadline is November 1, 2026!
