Mrs. M. Earline Stewart
Mrs. M. Earline (Gardner) Stewart is a native
of Lee County Mississippi, the fifth child of Mr. and Mrs. James
Gardner. She completed her high school training at J. O. Lowe High
School of Mississippi. She graduated from Mississippi Industrial
College of Holly Springs, Mississippi, with a Bachelor Degree in
Elementary Education. She is a graduate of Miles College,
Birmingham, Alabama with Bachelor Degrees in Early Childhood Education
and Religious Education. She also attended Grambling State
University, Grambling, Louisiana.
Mrs. Stewart taught school in Mississippi,
Texas and California. She was an instructor at the Cadet
Elementary School, Holly Spring, Mississippi for six years; the Killeen
School System, Killeen Texas for two years and the Alpha Elementary
School, Los Angeles, California for nine years. She also worked as
an Assistant Librarian at Miles College, Birmingham, Alabama for five
years and later served outstandingly for six years as Director of the
Russell Memorial Day Care Educational Center of Durham, North Carolina.
Mrs. Stewart's church affiliation started as a
child in her native home, Mississippi, where she was a member of Trinity
C.M.E. Church. Her dedication followed into adult life where she
served as a member of the Missionary Society, Director of the Children's
Department and Girl Scouts at Anderson chapel C.M.E. Church of Holly
Springs, Mississippi; a member of the Stewardess Board at Miles Chapel
C.M.E. Church, Fairfield, Alabama; a Missionary, Senior Choir member and
Director of Children's Church at Russell Memorial C.M.E. Church, Durham,
North Carolina; Director of the Children's Department, President of the
Prayer Committee, a member of the Board of Christian Education,
Missionary Society and Board of Evangelism at Phillips Temple C.M.E.
Church, Los Angeles, California; and was President of the Ministers'
Spouses & Widowers Department of the Southern California Annual
Conference for six years. She was the former Liaison Officer and
Advisor to the Ministers' Spouses & Widows Department and the Women's
Missionary Society of the Fifth Episcopal District. Mrs. Stewart
is presently the Liaison Officer and advisor to the Ministers' Spouses &
Widows Department of the Third Episcopal District.
Mrs. Stewart is married to Bishop Paul A. G. Stewart,
Sr., Presiding Prelate of the Third Episcopal District of the Christian
Methodist Episcopal Church. The Stewart's reside in They are
the parents of three children: Gloria Jean Stewart-Wicks, an elementary education
teacher, Greenville, Mississippi School System; Paul Jr., an Engineer
for the County of Los Angeles and Shinar LaDonna Stewart-Parnell, an
elementary school teacher, Los Angeles, California. They are proudly
parents-in-law of Mr. Dana Parnell and Reverend Thomas Wicks. The
Stewarts are grandparents to two precious grandchildren.

Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ which
strengtheneth me."
